11:00 AM – 11:45 AM
All Precincts will meet to elect their precinct leadership
and to elect delegates and alternate delegates to the County Convention on this date.

Convention Business includes
Adopt or amend a written Plan of Organization
Election of Delegates & Alternate Delegates to the District & State Conventions
And such other business as may properly come before the Assembly.

Chairman Kenneth Henson is calling all Republicans to attend the 2019 Convention and Annual Precinct Meetings of the Haywood County Republican Party to be held at Lake Junaluska in the Harrell Center.
The 2019 Conventions are the launch of the 2020 Election Campaigns. Our goal is to create a solid base to work towards a successful 2020 election.
ANNUAL PRECINCT MEETINGS: The day will begin with registration for the Annual' Precinct Meetings between 10:00 and 11:00 AM. These meetings are the back bone of grass roots organization beginning in each voting precinct in the county. We have a total of 29 precincts in Haywood County.
To be able to vote in the precinct meeting for the local precinct leadership - each attendee must be registered before the close of registration. To be qualified to vote the attendee must be a registered Republican before January 31, 2019 in Haywood County [or prove that they recently moved to this county].
The precinct meeting is the foundation of the party process. In the precinct meeting the attendee may run for precinct office such as precinct chair, vice chair, secretary or member at large. Attendees may also be elected as a delegate or alternate-delegate to the Haywood County Convention that will be held after lunch. Attendance at the precinct meeting is essential to get the process started... plus you will meet your conservative neighbors that live near you. A brief orientation will take place at the beginning of the Annual Precinct Meeting to help everyone understand the process.

2019 CONVENTION will begin immediately following the lunch at 1:00 pm - in the same convention hall location. There will be a suggested donation to help offset convention costs. CLICK THIS LINK - to make the donation at this time.
Official business of the 2019 Convention includes adoption or amendment to a written Plan of Organization. Election of Haywood County Republican Officers and Executive Committee. Election of Delegates & Alternate Delegates to the District 11 & NCGOP State Conventions. Conduct such other business as may properly come before the Assembly.
Republican and Trump 2020 attire will be available for purchase. T-shirts, hats and buttons are some of the items that will be available. Cash under $50, checks and credit cards will be accepted.
The Harrell Center will provide a lake front setting that adds to the ambiance of the business meetings and convention. Elevator access makes it accessible to all. Parking is in front of the building and along the Rose Walk, as well as past the Stuart Auditorium in the large flat lake front parking lot.
Harrelson Auditorium is located across the street from the Terrace and below the bookshop and coffee shop on the lower lake front level. Use the elevator or interior stairs to access the convention hall.
Please be aware that once registration is closed - you will not be qualified to 'vote' at the meetings.... but everyone is welcome to attend.
We look forward to seeing the Haywood County Republican Party supporters at the Annual precinct meetings - lunch - and 2019 Convention.
If you do not wish to stay for lunch - you may enjoy a walk around the lake or visit local restaurants in the area. But we hope you will join us at the convention hall for lunch.
