Grand Opening 2018 Haywood Republican Headquarters

(Waynesville, NC) The Haywood County Republican Party celebrated a Grand Opening of their new headquarters on Saturday evening, June 23, 2018. The event was a smashing success with many dignitaries and over one hundred attendees. The recently renovated headquarters is located at 297 N. Haywood Street, Waynesville NC.
Festivities included games, door prizes, invocation, and the ribbon cutting. Gourmet hors d’oeuvres were provided by Absolutely Yummy Catering.
Legislative updates were given by State Representatives Mike Clampitt and Michele Presnell. County Commissioner candidate Tommy Long, a sixth generation native of Haywood County, spoke and advocated fiscal responsibility to keep tax rates low. Honorable Judges Christine Earwood and Donna Forga complimented the committee on the renovation efforts.
Executive Committee member Ted Carr was recognized on the occasion of his 80thbirthday with singing and a delicious surprise chocolate birthday cake from Kandi’s Cakes & Bake Shop.
Republican County Chairman Ken Henson complimented the Headquarters Committee on the great work they had done on the headquarters facility.
