The Haywood County Republican Party is hosting a
County Commissioner Candidate Town Hall Event
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30th @ 6:00 PM
at the REPUBLICAN PARTY HEADQUARTERS
On November 3, 2020, Haywood County Commissioner
Mark Pless was elected to the NC House, District 118.
The resulting commissioner vacancy
is to be filled by the Haywood County Republican
Executive Committee according to
North Carolina General Statute 153A-27.1.
The responsibility for vetting and voting for our next county commissioner is not taken lightly. We cordially invite our community to our second Candidate Forum to meet the candidates who are running for commissioner. Questions for the candidates may be submitted to [email protected] by Sunday, November 29th at 3:00 pm.
The following seven candidates are under consideration and are listed alphabetically:

Terry Ramey
Jeff Sellers
A final decision will be made on Thursday, December 10th at the regularly scheduled Haywood County Republican Executive Committee Meeting. Candidates will answer final questions and give final speeches before the vote. The candidate with 50% + 1 of the votes will be recommended to the Haywood County Commissioners to fill the vacancy.
